Possible Symptoms:

  • Bad fuel economy

  • No fuel pump operation

Possible Causes:

  • Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/Barometric Pressure Sensor is defective

  • Intake Manifold vacuum leaks

  • Faulty or corroded Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor/Barometric Pressure wiring or connections

Related Parts:

  • Manifold Pressure Sensor: Manifold Pressure sensor measures the pressure of air flowing in the engine from outside to ensure proper fuel combustion. This car's malfunctioning pressure sensor will lead to engine misfire, poor fuel economy & rough running

Possible Solutions:

  • Perform a visual inspection to insure the integrity of the oxygen sensor wiring.

  • If the wiring is found to be okay, check the sensor voltage and resistance. Voltage should be below 1 volt and resistance below manufactures specifications for each vehicle.
