Description:

  • Signal correlation problem detected between the Turbocharger and Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor

Possible Symptoms:

  • Possible large loss of power above idle

  • Excessive additives in the fuel can cause erratic sensor readings and cause the fuel to boil off at lower temperatures, causing the sensor to malfunction

  • Engine may start and then stall

Possible Causes:

  • Boost pressure sensor harness is open or shorted

  • Boost pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection

  • Faulty boost pressure sensor

  • Faulty Turbo/Super Charger

  • Engine over temperature

  • Ignition misfire exceeds the calibrated threshold

  • Faulty Knock sensor (KS)

Related Parts:

  • Turbocharger: Turbocharger compresses in more air into the engine, hence producing more power output. Problem leads to power loss

  • Barometric (BARO) Pressure Sensor: The barometric sensor is responsible for measuring the atmospheric pressure of the environment that the car is driving in. Problems lead to engine misfire & poor fuel economy

Possible Solutions:

  • Inspect the wastegate actuator rod to the turbo. Repair it if its bent

  • A PCM replacement
