Description:

  • Signal correlation problem detected between the Manifold Pressure (MAP) sensor and pressure in the exhaust gas

Possible Symptoms:

  • Engine may be hard starting

  • Engine stall

  • Engine may die

  • Engine Limp Mode Failsafe Mode)

Possible Causes:

  • Aftermarket air intake systems

  • Dirty MAF or MAP sensor

  • Faulty MAF or MAP sensor

  • Faulty engine computer

Related Parts:

  • Manifold Pressure (MAP) Sensor: Manifold Pressure sensor measures the pressure of air flowing in the engine from outside to ensure proper fuel combustion. This car's malfunctioning pressure sensor will lead to engine misfire, poor fuel economy & rough running

  • Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor: Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor monitors the pressure of the exhaust gases from the engine. Problems lead to harmful emissions out of limit

Possible Solutions:

  • Before replacing the mass air flow sensor, try replacing the air filter and cleaning the air flow sensor with low compress air or mass air flow sensor cleaner
